A Special Notice : DOE 202(c) No 202-26-41 Applicability Additional Comments: PJM has received DOE 202(c) No. 202-26-41 which pertains to the usage of identified Specified Resources and directives to operate backup generators at large loads. In an effort to provide additional clarity, PJM is sending this notice regarding the operational applicability for Specified Resources under the DOE order. PJM has identified a reliability need to utilize the Specified Resources identified in Exhibit A (Order No. 202-26-41 Resource List) for the 9/04 operating day. It is important to note that the order does not constitute a directive to operate at maximum output or full load. Exhibit A resources should still follow relevant PJM instructions for commitment and dispatch. PJM will provide additional communication tomorrow on the applicability of DOE Order No. 202-26-41 for the effective duration of the order.

A Hot Weather Alert has been issued from 00:01 on 09.04.2026 through 23:59 on 09.04.2026 Per M-13, members are expected to perform: TRANSMISSION/GEN DISPATCH review plans to determine if any maintenance/testing, scheduled/being performed, on any monitoring, control, transmission/generating equipment can be deferred/canceled. GEN DISPATCHERS: -Review & update unit parameters in Markets Gateway (MG) through the Hot Weather Alert period paying particular attention to accurate Start-up & Notification, Min/Max Run Time, Eco Min/Max and Emergency Min/Max info. -Submit alternate fuel capability & resource limitations via MG. -Review fuel supply/delivery schedules in anticipation of greater than normal operation of units. -Provide PJM with estimate of time needed to return any unit on a Planned Outage. This 'Early Return Time' should be updated in eDART & will not affect the Planned Outage est. end date. -Dual fuel units, confirm the equipment is functional & amount of alternate fuel available. -Update PLS schedule parameters as indicated in Manual 11 Section 2.3.4.

A Maximum Generation Emergency/Load Management Alert-Capacity Emergency-NERC EEA 1 has been issued from 00:01 on 09.03.2026 through 23:59 on 09.03.2026 . Maximum Generation Emergency has been called into the operating capacity. Per M-13, Generation Dispatchers should provide PJM with an estimate of the amount of time they need to return to service any generator on a Planned Outage. This 'Early Return Time' should be updated via eDART, and will not affect the Planned Outage estimated end date.
